Support We Offer.

We offer therapy for young children, teens and adult individuals. Rural Living Psychology welcomes self-referrals and referrals from GPs with a Mental Health Care Plan. We support people across all life stages with a range of mental health concerns. Sessions are available in-person at our Clare space or online via secure Telehealth. Here are some of the areas we can help with.

  • Trauma can leave you feeling stuck in the past, reliving painful memories or avoiding parts of your life. At Rural Living Psychology, we use evidence-based approaches like EMDR to help you process trauma and move forward with less distress.

  • Anxiety can feel like constant worry, panic attacks, or fear that interferes with daily life. We work with you to understand your triggers, build confidence, and develop practical tools to manage anxiety.

  • Feeling low, flat, or hopeless. Whether in everyday life or during big transitions like pregnancy and early parenthood can make it hard to enjoy life or stay motivated. We help you explore what’s contributing to your feelings and support you to reconnect with what matters to you.

  • Obsessive thoughts and repetitive behaviours can feel hard to control and exhausting. We help you understand what’s happening and work toward breaking the cycle in manageable steps.

  • Holding yourself to impossible standards can lead to stress and burnout. We help you find self-compassion and create healthier, more realistic expectations for yourself.

  • Losing someone or something important can bring deep sadness, confusion, and pain. We offer a safe space to process your feelings and find your own way through grief.

  • Specific fears can stop you from doing things you’d like to do. We work with you to face those fears at your pace, building confidence and coping skills along the way.

Please note, we don’t offer therapy for couples, geriatric clients, or those experiencing active risk, psychosis, or needing acute care.

About the Clinic.

Supporting the Mid North with heart and expertise.

Rural Living Psychology was created to make quality mental health support more accessible to people living in regional Australia. Based in the Clare Valley, our clinic offers a space where individuals can feel safe, heard, and supported.

Our approach is grounded in evidence-based therapies and delivered with respect, compassion, and a deep understanding of rural life. We believe that therapy should feel like a partnership, not a process.
